Message from the Governor & Lt. Governor

Hafa Adai!

Be ready! These are words that we all should live by. Because of our position in the Western Pacific, the constant threat of natural disasters and threats to the safety of our island residents from the instabilities of our region leave us vulnerable.

It is our job to raise awareness and enhance the knowledge and skills of disaster preparedness of all our citizens. We must not forget that strengthening disaster preparedness plans within the government of Guam is also the key to the protection of our people. By facilitating the exchange of information, experience and expertise on disaster preparedness with the people of Guam, we all can make Guam a better and safer place to live.
