E911/TCC TO RELOCATE OPERATIONS TO AGANA HEIGHTS
March 8, 2010

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
March 8, 2010

E911/TCC TO RELOCATE OPERATIONS TO AGANA HEIGHTS
Homeland Security Grant Program funds system upgrades

The Guam Fire Department’s E911 Fire Dispatch and the Guam Police Department’s Tactical Communications Center (TCC) will move their emergency dispatch operations from their Tiyan location to the Guam Homeland Security and Office of Civil Defense facility in Agana Heights.  The move is scheduled to commence at 9:00 a.m. March 9, 2010, and be completed by 10:00 a.m. March 10, 2010.

During this time, all E911/TCC operations should continue without interruption. Both agencies have redundant systems that will allow for access to emergency services.  The public should continue to call into 911 for emergency assistance as the “911” number will remain fully operational throughout the relocation.  All callers will be required to provide their physical address/location as the system that provides this information will be temporarily off-line until the move is completed at 10:00 a.m. on March 10th.

All GFD and GPD numbers should not be disrupted and will be available for all incoming calls.  If for some unforeseen reason interruptions should occur and you’re unable to reach GFD and GPD through E911/TCC, you may contact your nearest Fire Station or Police Precinct at the following numbers:
